Every year, we recruit graduates from these disciplines:

As a graduate, you’ll follow a formal development programme that will equip you with the skills needed to become a technical specialist in your chosen field. You’ll also be assigned a mentor and invited to attend Group graduate-based events.

Once you’ve finished your training, you can expect to continue to develop your expertise and establish your career at Balfour Beatty.

You will receive a competitive salary dependent upon your specific role and an array of benefits.

Benefits vary across our businesses but generally include a pension scheme, participation in our flexible benefits programme (so you can choose the package that is right for you), the ability to join the Share Incentive Plan, and up to 25 days holiday per year. You may receive a travel allowance or company car and some areas of the business, as well as help towards professional institution fees.

Scheme duration:

The scheme will last for two to three years but further training will follow and you’ll be encouraged to become a member of professional body, too.

Entry qualifications required:

You’ll need a 2:2* degree or above in an engineering, construction, mathematics, software engineering or environmental studies subject to apply.  You’ll also usually need to pass aptitude tests depending on the scheme. Full details will be stated in the job advert.
