Advanced Level

Build your future with hands-on experience and recognised qualifications.

We offer three types of Advanced Apprenticeship programmes: trade, technical and business schemes.

You can continue your studies and develop your skills with our Advanced Trade Apprenticeship. If you have achieved five GSCEs (or equivalent) or a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship, this is a great opportunity to learn on the job and obtain nationally recognised qualification.

During the scheme you will attend college on a day or block release basis and learn the more advanced skills of your trade.  You will work on site, under the guidance of a more senior colleague. You’ll also get to demonstrate the skills learned at college and improve them in real work situations.

What qualifications will I get?

You have the opportunity to gain a range of recognised qualifications:

  •   NVQ Level 3
  •   Level 3 Diploma in relevant subject
  •   Level 3 Functional Skills (Maths, English, ICT)
  •   Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

What benefits will I get?

You will receive a competitive salary, plus a range of benefits. These vary across our business, but include:

  •   A pension scheme
  •   Participation in our flexible benefits programme
  •   The ability to join the Share Incentive Plan (SIP)
  •   Up to 25 days holiday per year
  •   Travel allowance/company car

Your salary will rise with qualifications achieved and experience gained. In addition, we will pay your college fees.

How long will it last?

The apprenticeship will last for around two years but will finish when you reach the required standard and gain the relevant qualification.

Where will I be based?

Our apprenticeship schemes are available across the UK.

What do I need to apply?

This varies according to scheme but generally you will require five GCSEs (or equivalent) at A*- C grades in English, Maths and a Science. Alternatively you may have already completed a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.

You will usually need to sit and pass aptitude tests for the trade apprenticeship depending on the trade. Full details will be stated in the job advert.
